About
Wildcard is a cycling rally with no route and many ways to win.
Starting at 9am, participants have 10 hours to cover as much distance as possible between a set start and finish location, earning one point for each kilometer ridden and one point for every 10m climbed. At 7pm the clock stops and the finishers' party begins.
Participants can also increase their score by completing missions like riding an impractical bike, picking up litter, or sleeping in a bivy bag at the finish.
For the 2026 edition participants started their rides in the heart of the Veluwe, the largest national park in the Netherlands before heading south to the mandatory checkpoint in the Maasduinen National Park. Riders then crossed into Germany to reach the finish line where pizza and cold beer awaited them.
There are three categories to win at Wildcard, and this year Elvert won two of them! Completing every single mission, including picking up the most trash out of everyone (his cargo bike certainly helped with this challenge) and collecting 915 points total. Myles won the distance category, ignoring all the missions and focusing on pure efficiency, crossing the finish line with 281km under his belt, a huge achievement in 10 hours.
Wildcard is co-organised by Adventure Wheels we happily keep you updated on next editions!
